Biography:

Isabel Torres is the Lead Technologist for the New Mexico Clinical Research and Osteoporosis Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She completed her training at the the University of New Mexico School of Medicine with an Associate’s Degree in Health Sciences. She currently works under the supervision of Dr. E. Michael Lewiecki and Dr. Lance Rudolph. She performs all of the DXA scanning and x-rays for the research practice as well.

She became a part of the ISCD Item Writing Committee in 2008. She has written some of the test questions that are now part of the new CBDT Exam. Isabel is also a member of the New Mexico DXA society. She is licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). She became certified by the International Society of Clinical densitometry (ISCD) in 2000. She is also a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) since 2006.

Isabel enjoys her job and continues to learn from her physicians who specialize in the field of osteoporosis. She has a husband, three children and seven grandchildren, and enjoys her family life.
