Biography:

Daniel Widholm is the Lead Technologist and Site Manager for the New Mexico Osteoporosis Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He completed the radiography program with honors at Pima Medical Institute in Albuquerque in 2000. He has performed both MRI and bone densitometry since his graduation. He is licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and Bone Densitometry.

He became certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) in 2006. He acknowledged that bone densitometry needs caring and qualified individuals to perform exams. Daniel has participated in the ISCD Item Writing Committee since 2007. He has researched and written test questions for the new CBDT exam. He passed his ARRT Bone Densitometry board exam in 2008. Daniel is also member of the New Mexico DXA Society.

Daniel has been employed in the medical field since the age of 19, after receiving his EMT certificate. He worked his way up, starting as a courier for a radiology practice right after high school. He performed MRIs in Albuquerque from 2000 to 2003. He began his career in bone densitometry in 2006. Daniel enjoys being a technologist and most of all likes his interaction with patients. In his spare time, Daniel is an outdoor enthusiast. He likes traveling, hiking, camping, fishing and gardening. He has also worked and lived in both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
